Mr. Collins joined New World Network in 2000 and has served as chief technology officer since January 2003. Following Columbus’ acquisition of New World Network in 2005, Peter continued in this senior role and is now responsible for managing network operations, engineering and customer service.

Prior to joining Columbus Networks, Mr. Collins accumulated more than 20 years of international telecommunications experience, working in competitive telecom businesses worldwide. In recent years, Mr. Collins served as CTO at Eglobe Inc., USA, Director of Operations for Tele2 AB, Sweden, where he was part of the executive team responsible for developing and implementing business strategy. He also served in senior technical engineering and sales support positions in Cable & Wireless UK, International Digital Communications (IDC) Japan and Hong Kong Telephone, Hong Kong.

Peter is a graduate of Cable and Wireless Engineering College, Porthcurno, UK. He holds the designations from the Business & Technician Education Council (BTEC), OND & HND in Electronics and Communications Engineering.

Peter is a citizen of the United Kingdom and resides in Florida.
