Ms. McEwen joined Columbus in 2006 as Manager of Financial Reporting. Upon relocating to Freeport, Bahamas she was promoted to Corporate Controller for the Columbus Group. In her current role, Elizabeth oversees Columbus’ financial statement consolidation, annual budgets, investor relations, and public debt holder reporting.
Ms. McEwen brought with her experience gained by working at Clearwater Fine Foods Inc‚ a holding company based in Bedford‚ Nova Scotia‚ which holds significant investments in the seafood industry‚ marine based nutrition‚ and the telecommunications sector.
Elizabeth received her bachelor degree from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax‚ Nova Scotia and received her Chartered Accountant designation through the Atlantic School of Chartered Accountancy in 2004.
