Columbus acquires Caribbean Data Centers (“CDC”), a Barbados-based company that wholly owns E-Commerce Park which provides data center services in Curacao, Netherland Antilles.

February:

Columbus Networks closes the acquisitions of SkyOnline Maya-1 LLC, Inc. (“Maya”), providing Columbus with an ownership position in the Maya-1 Cable Consortium, a submarine finder optic cable system that connects the US, Mexico, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Panama and Colombia.

Columbus Networks closes the acquisition of SkyOnline Latinoamerica Colombia, S.A. ESP (“Sky-Colombia), a provider of telecommunication services in Colombia.

Columbus International closes the acquisition of Grenada Cablevision Limited, Grenada’s premier provider of video services, and rebrands as Flow Grenada.

June:

Columbus Jamaica acquires the assets of Wilson’s Electronics Limited, the leading cable TV operator in Mandeville.

July:

Columbus Jamaica closes the acquisition of the assets of North Eastern Satellite Limited, one of the largest cable TV operators serving Port Maria and Oracabessa.

May:

Flow Trinidad launches new land line telephone service breaking the local telephone company's almost 50-year-old monolopy on fixed line services, making Flow the first company in Trinidad to offer triple play — cable television, broadband and landline voice services on its digital network.

Flow Jamaica commissions new $80M US undersea fibre-optic cable to provide connectivity at even greater speed, linking Jamaica to South America (via Colombia).

August:

Columbus Networks launchs service on the first undersea fiber-optic cable express route that directly links Colombia with Florida, opening a new gateway for the Caribbean and Latin America Region into North and South America.
