Ms. McLean is primarily responsible for acquiring content for all Columbus’ cable operations and is the key negotiator for all programming carriage agreements‚ including video channels‚ pay per view, video on demand‚ VOD, special event and digital content. She also provides strategic direction on regulatory and copyright issues for Columbus throughout its operating region.

Carol started with Columbus as one of the team members in March 2005 following a career in a variety of senior positions in the Canadian broadcasting industry, including extensive experience in start up businesses. Prior to joining Columbus, Carol was Senior Director of Specialty Networks with CTV Specialty Television Inc., responsible for 16 owned or operated Canadian specialty networks. She was also part of the launch team at Bell ExpressVu‚ Canada’s leading direct-to-home operator‚ where she was responsible for negotiating carriage agreements with over 100 Canadian‚ US and international networks. Carol was also an original member of the senior management team of Showcase Television, Canada’s independent film television network. Prior to her experience in broadcasting Carol worked for Motorola Canada in new business development and in the natural gas industry.

A transplanted Canadian now living in Freeport Bahamas‚ she has learned how to cope with hurricanes instead of blizzards and that plantains are not a substitute for bananas‚ especially in a peanut butter and banana sandwich.
